Toyo Tanuma is the founder of and serves as CEO of Hojo Partners Co. Ltd.
Toyo started his career as an investment analyst at the real estate private equity arm of Deutsche Bank in 2006 where he was involved in a various investment activity for global real estate funds including real asset and corporate equity buyouts. He was mainly responsible for investment sourcing, underwriting, execution and asset management. Between 2011 and 2012 he was seconded in the London headquarter where he was involved in investments across Europe. After leaving Deutsche Bank and serving as an advisor for several investment firms and private wealth clients, Toyo founded Hojo Partners in 2016.
Throughout his career he was involved in the total transaction volume of over JPY 2 trillion in Asia and Europe.
In Japanese “五穀豊穣(Go-Koku-Ho-Jo)” is a sacred term often used in Shintoism wishing for fertility and harvest of crops, but its true meaning is longevity, which our company’s philosophy is based on and is why it is named after.
